Do YOU feel like a Grownup or  a Neverbloomer?

It seems there are early-bloomers, there are late-bloomers and then there are Neverbloomers: those of us still waiting for our grownup lives to kick in. Neverbloomers don’t care about their inner-child -- it’s their inner-adult
that’s got them worried.

Celebrated comic filmmaker Sharon Hyman feels like the Neverbloomer poster child. So she decided to go on a search – The Search for GrownUphood.

To find out what it really means to be a grownup.
And to figure out how she could get that way.

With camera in hand, she spent three years asking everyone who crossed her path what grownuphood means to them.

Her interviewees include people from all walks of life, including her doctors,  her neighbours,
her acupuncturist, her Rabbi, long-lost friends, famous filmmaker Peter Wintonick, and, of course, her mother.

Widely acclaimed for her autobiographical style, the filmmaker provides plenty of self-reflection and revelations along the way.

The result is a journey that is as poignant as it is funny
